Pro Bono Services

Pro Bono Image

Pro bono work refers to the provision of legal services by lawyers, law firms, or legal professionals at no cost or at a significantly reduced fee. It is for individuals, or organisations, that cannot afford to pay for legal representation. This work is typically done voluntarily and is aimed at ensuring access to justice for disadvantaged or marginalized individuals, as well as supporting non-profit organisations that serve the public interest.

At H & H Lawyers, we want to help create a fairer society. For almost two decades, we have made pro bono work a part of every lawyer's everyday practice. We use our legal expertise to support people, communities, and organisations to build this future together. Whether it is working alongside individuals or as part of broader systemic work, our pro bono legal assistance aims to bring about positive social change. We help people overcome barriers that prevent them from enforcing their legal rights; support not-for-profit organisations whose purpose is to improve lives; and collaborate with the communities and organisations best placed to know the changes needed to make the legal system better, fairer, and more accessible for everyone.

We are serious about pro bono best practice. Since the launch of our Pro Bono practice in 2011, we have acted for over 840 people as pro bono clients of the firm. We have acted for numerous clients of cultural backgrounds where English is not their first language.
