Jae has practiced exclusively within the area of Family Law since his admission as a solicitor in 2016. Prior to his admission, Jae worked in the prestigious role as a Judge’s Associate in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 2), which provided invaluable experience and insight into family law, court procedure and process.
Prior to joining H & H Lawyers, Jae worked as a solicitor at the Legal Aid Commission of New South Wales, where he advocated in complex parenting matters in Sydney and Parramatta. He then practiced at a well-regarded Family Law specialist firm in Newcastle.
In 2017, Jae received the Rookie of the Year award from the Legal Aid Commission of New South Wales. He currently serves as an adjunct lecturer at the College of Law, Sydney.
Jae has extensive experience across all areas of Family Law, including binding financial agreements, complex parenting and financial matters. He has developed particular interest and expertise in cases involving family violence and abuse.
Jae focuses on achieving the best possible, commercially sensible outcomes for his clients through negotiation and dispute resolution and when necessary, litigation.
Jae holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of International Studies and is admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of NSW. He is a member of the Law Society of NSW, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, Greater Sydney Family Law Pathways Network and the Hunter Valley Family Law Practitioners Association.
